I named this journal giant_peach for a reason. It might seem funny to call a journal a giant peach, but it also has its meaning. It is quite easy to link giant_peach to Roald Dahl's story James and the Giant Peach. Sadly, though, I have never read this story. I did see the 1996 film of this story, and I am quite fond of it.

James and the Giant Peach isn't just your ordinary children's story. Most people wouldn't find it interesting. They would write it off as a strange, unrealistic and meaningless story. But those who look beyond the surface notice that the story about James isn't strange, unrealistic and meaningless at all. It's a touching story about feeling miserable, it's about friendship and following your dreams.

The story that seems to be just a simple child's tale, is in fact a story which deals with more daily subjects that really matter than your average well-rated story.

And that is why I named my journal like this.
